On a scorching hot August day in New York, Teachout ventured out to Bushwick to endorse Julia Salazar, a 27-year-old member of the Democratic Socialists of America running for the state Senate against a 15-year incumbent. There was no real press presence to speak of, and no real people either, except for a few volunteers from both campaigns who stood in the background to hold campaign signs for the Facebook Live broadcast. It is part of Teachout’s strategy: even before Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez upended the career of Joe Crowley, the fourth-ranking Democrat in the House and the boss of the Queens Democratic machine, New York was awash in primary challengers to establishment Democrats up and down the ballot.
Brass Heart’s two menus interlock in fascinating ways. Take the bread course. On the regular menu, it’s a buttery, cinnamon-roll-like brioche ladled with honey, topped with fried chicken cracklings, and flanked by sweet pickle strips — a riff on the Southern tradition of serving fried chicken on white bread. The mirror-image vegan version Kerney and pastry chef Shawn Anderson-Calix have conjured up is virtuosic: This brioche, made with flax seed and vegetable-based butter — and boasting a texture miraculously indistinguishable from that of the nonvegan roll — is crowned with sweet-acidic pepper jam and a dusting of pepitas.
It’s a little boy’s fervor and a little boy’s make-believe, and for much of the show, which Fisher co-directs with Jerry Metzker, it’s transporting to feel like one of the neighborhood gang again: bit parts in a ringleader’s staged battle, albeit with much more insightful historical analysis this time around. (I’ll bet the head honcho of your childhood block didn’t have a theory as to why the Nazis kept staffing the Holocaust, even as they desperately needed soldiers on both the Eastern and Western fronts, or the introspection to problematize his own fascination with one of humankind’s great shames.)
One part of the motorcycle that’s delivered dry and left prone to seizing is the chain adjuster bolts. This area of the bike gets sprayed frequently during washing, and the combination of the aluminum swingarm and steel bolt is a recipe for disaster. Lubing the chain adjuster bolt with a combination of grease and moly can help prevent water damage and subsequent seizing.

When the excavator and other machines arrived on the island, the Laginas and regular “cast members,” including Dan Blankenship, a 92-year-old resident of the island who has been searching for the treasure for half his life, watched the trucks roll to a stop. “That looks like capable equipment right there,” Marty Lagina said at the sight of the heavy machinery.

One had a chain and the other man had brass knuckles. My husband saw them approaching me and he came around to my side of the truck. He was smart enough to remove one dollar from his wallet and when they approached he threw the money at them and we jumped into the truck and drove off.
Our Woodford prototype clearly illustrates its potential with its modern and clean appearance (the white top reminds us of Yamaha’s futuristic RGX A2), enhanced by the natural lightweight swamp ash body, with classic wavy grain and a bolt-on maple neck.
