Valentina Shevchenko is looking for her first UFC title in this bout, she dropped to flyweight after a controversial split decision loss in her bid for the bantamweight title. Shevchenko has been highly respected in the combat sports world but this would be the biggest win of her MMA career by far. Joanna Jedrzejczyk is the former long time strawweight champion but after losing her title and then failing to reclaim it she’s looking for greener pastures up at flyweight. Jedrzejczyk defeated Tecia Torres earlier this year and is trying to make history in this bout by becoming the first woman in UFC history to win titles in two different weight classes. The odds for this fight favor Shevchenko at -350 against a +270 comeback for Jedrzejczyk.
As for the pups that pass the Guide Dogs tests, they’ll be sent off across the UK to live with Puppy Walkers – volunteers who look after them from the age of seven weeks, until they’re 14 months old and ready to start training in earnest.
Smith and Archer worked over Yujiro, both scoring nearfalls on him. Smith used a chinlock. Archer beat on Yujiro with forearms and palm strikes to the chest. Yujiro finally got to his corner and tagged Page. Page hit a pescado on Smith. He went to the top for a moonsault. He teased one from the post to the floor, but Smith cut him off. Page fought off Smith and hit Archer with a moonsault in the ring.Â
Man that was great stuff. Not the Fight of the Year, still Whittaker vs. Romero 2 but that’s your runner up. Holloway on the mic, he thanks God then says if there’s anyone else please step forward. he says he called his shot between rounds 3 and 4, says Ortega is tough and that they’ll likely meet again. Asked about the odds and him being a slight under dog he says his fans got rich and again asks for a UFC event in Hawaii. Next Rogan asks about his future in the division, he says he just wants to be the best pound for pound, be that up at lightweight or even against Daniel Cormier then says a king must defend his title and tells anyone to come for his throne.
Brass Heart’s two menus interlock in fascinating ways. Take the bread course. On the regular menu, it’s a buttery, cinnamon-roll-like brioche ladled with honey, topped with fried chicken cracklings, and flanked by sweet pickle strips — a riff on the Southern tradition of serving fried chicken on white bread. The mirror-image vegan version Kerney and pastry chef Shawn Anderson-Calix have conjured up is virtuosic: This brioche, made with flax seed and vegetable-based butter — and boasting a texture miraculously indistinguishable from that of the nonvegan roll — is crowned with sweet-acidic pepper jam and a dusting of pepitas.
Explode he does, and often, you help supply the kindling. “I’ll be the London Symphony Orchestra,” he frequently says, preparing to enact a World War II film scene and its score, “including all the instruments and the conductor.” He’ll also be Richard Burton in “The Longest Day” or Ryan O’Neal in “A Bridge Too Far,” after Fisher’s spazzed for a bit over how hot they are. (There’s much throbbing and gnashing of teeth.)
Maven out .. and umm, good luck kid. Taker invited him to the ring, and proceeded to destroy the former Tough Enough winner. The Hardys didn’t like what Taker had done to them, so they got back in the ring looking for some revenge. He fought them off, and goaded them further as they made their way up the ramp. Dropkick from Maven! Undertaker’s eliminated! He can’t believe it. Funnily enough this was the highlight of Maven’s entire career. Taker got back in the ring, threw Maven to the outside (but not over the top) and taught him a lesson. For the second year in a row .. Scotty 2 Hotty made his entrance with The Undertaker around to put him down; this time before he could make it to the ring. Taker got Maven back in the ring so he could eliminate him over the top.
The rest of the card is quietly solid as the all action Alex Oliveira battles Gunnar Nelson, Thiago Santos tries to continue his assault on the light heavyweight division, Olivier Aubin-Mercier takes on Gilbert Burns in what could be a sleeper bout for Fight of the Night honors, and Claudia Gadelha battles Nina Ansaroff for position in the strawweight division. Now it could turn out that these fights are duds in practice but on paper this is a solid offering.
Due to the part needed, we had to leave the RV and drive the truck to a local parts store. We got permission from the gas station owner to drop the trailer long enough to drive and buy the part. When we first arrived at the gas station there were three suspicious looking characters.
Dig Assist is a new feature available on the Volvo EC220E. Product Manager Matthew McLean describes Dig Assist as “an intuitive control system allowing easy input of job specifications and tracking of progress along the way.” One goal, says McLean, is to ensure the job is done right the first time. Another is to reduce some site prep, such as staking, by up to 50 percent. Overall, Dig Assist can provide up to 25 percent productivity gains. With optional In-Field Design functionality, operators can draw custom digging profiles to their Dig Assist plans from the cab.
At ground level — literally on the ground at the edge of the roadway — other cameras were situated to give viewers closeups of the trucks’ tires rolling by. Not every routine equipment delivery receives such star treatment, but that’s show biz. “When the machines were scheduled for delivery,” said Lessard, “we made sure we had our cameras in place. From there, it was pretty simple to mount GoPro cameras on the equipment or be on the ready with manned cameras — at a safe distance — to film the equipment being moved around and used on the island.”
Here’s the final exchange, I’ll let you decide if you agree with me on that being a technical submission.
